Troops of the Nigerian Army have foiled a suspected terrorist ambush along the Gusau–Sokoto Major Supply Route, MSR, in Zamfara State.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, in his put up on X on Thursday, defined that safety sources stated the incident occurred at about 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October. 27, 2026, when troops of 1 Brigade, whereas escorting personnel of Headquarters 38 Artillery Brigade, got here beneath assault at Mayanchi village in Maru Local Government Area.
According to him, “The troops reportedly engaged the suspected terrorists, forcing them to withdraw in disarray.”
He added that following the engagement, the troopers exploited the realm and recovered a motorcycle believed to have been deserted by the fleeing attackers.
