Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has mocked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the deployment of safety operatives to guard his marketing campaign billboards and posters in Kaduna forward of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential marketing campaign flag-off.
Atiku criticised the association, questioning why marketing campaign supplies belonging to a president who claims to take pleasure in widespread public help require safety safety whereas tens of millions of Nigerians proceed to face insecurity.
In a publish on Facebook on Friday, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate accused the Tinubu administration of misplaced priorities, contrasting the safety given to the president’s marketing campaign supplies with the plight of communities affected by banditry, terrorism and different violent assaults.
“Bola, you claim Nigerians love you, yet your billboards in Kaduna require security guards. Bandits raid villages, terrorists attack communities, and families live in fear,” Atiku wrote.
He added that the safety given to the billboards was past what many Nigerians might count on for their very own security.
“Your posters enjoy protection that millions of Nigerians can only dream of. What a tragic statement of your government’s priorities. Bola, please protect Nigerians with the same urgency you protect your image!” he mentioned.
Security personnel, together with operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority (KASTLEA), had been reportedly deployed to guard Tinubu’s marketing campaign supplies in northern a part of Kaduna forward of the deliberate marketing campaign flag-off on Saturday, October 24.
