Arise TV anchor, Reuben Abati, has faulted President Bola Tinubu for blaming the opposition over starvation and poverty in Nigeria.
Speaking throughout Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday, Abati mentioned Tinubu met the worth of fuel at N195 per litre but now sells for N1400 per litre.
Recall that President Tinubu had on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress, APC, marketing campaign flag-off in Kaduna mentioned: “I hear my opponents talking about hunger and poverty. Who created it? They did. They created hunger, they created poverty. We are trying to eradicate it.”
Reacting, Abati mentioned the APC has been in energy since 2015, and President Tinubu is now in his fourth yr, stating that the opposition can’t be answerable for starvation in 2026 when they don’t seem to be in energy.
“You met the price of fuel at about N195, but now fuel is N1400 to N1500 per litre. That rise has caused food prices to go up. Bag of rice, garri, beans have all increased,” Abati mentioned.
He mentioned when Tinubu took over, garri was round N500 per paint, but now it’s N2500, urging the President to cease blaming the opposition and give attention to how you can cut back the price of residing for Nigerians who’re complaining.
