Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has once more criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In an announcement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku stated Tinubu’s abysmal economic record was sufficient to justify his removal from the Presidential Villa in 2027.
According to Atiku, below Tinubu’s administration, the naira depreciated to N1,329 per greenback from N471 per greenback.
His response got here after Tinubu, in his remarks on the flag-off of his re-election marketing campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, blamed his opponents for poverty and starvation in Nigeria.
Reacting, Atiku informed Tinubu that the economic hardship his administration had inflicted on Nigerians was actual.
“You cannot deny it by blaming others,” he stated.
He burdened that the naira had depreciated considerably below Tinubu’s administration.
“Which administration removed the petrol subsidy and watched the naira fall from about N471 to N1,329 to the dollar?”
