Phrank Shuaibu, senior media aide to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Tinubu of politicising his current Umrah trip to Saudi Arabia.
Speaking throughout an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Shuaibu questioned the religion of the President, alleging that the go to was for a political present.
“President Tinubu politicised his visit for Umrah. The last time he came for Umrah was three years ago. Does Bola Tinubu have sincerity of faith?” Shuaibu mentioned.
“If he did, he would not keep a fellow Muslim, Nasir El-Rufai, in detention over a minor political disagreement,” he added.
President Tinubu had carried out Umrah in Saudi Arabia in what the Presidency described as a religious train.
Shuaibu has been a vocal critic of the Tinubu administration and a member of Atiku’s media group because the 2023 elections.
