Suspected political thugs have attacked the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Sowore disclosed this in a short assertion posted on his official Facebook web page on Friday, saying the attack occurred inside a restaurant.
“Thugs just attacked us inside a restaurant in Ado Ekiti,” the activist wrote.
Efforts by DAILY POST to substantiate the alleged incident from the Ekiti State Police Command have been unsuccessful as of the time of submitting this report.
The alleged attack comes amid a collection of assaults on politicians as preparations for the 2027 common elections proceed to collect momentum throughout the nation.
Meanwhile, regulation enforcement companies have warned political actors towards resorting to violence earlier than, throughout and after the elections.
