The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Rivers State, Gabriel Pidomson, has challenged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, to an open debate on governance within the state.
Pidomson alleged that Wike was stopping the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Kingsley Chinda from talking immediately to Rivers residents about his manifesto forward of the February election.
In a video shared on his official Facebook web page on Thursday, Pidomson accused Wike of mismanaging Rivers State throughout his eight years as governor, stressing that the Minister has additionally been ruling by proxy for the previous three years.
He described Rivers as a failed state and challenged the minister to account for the state’s sources over the previous 12 years.
He stated, “APC needs to tell us what they have for Rivers people. It’s not about carrying your son behind you and not allowing him to speak to Rivers people on what he has to offer.
“Well, if the FCT Minister thinks he’s the one on the poll, I’m difficult him to a debate on governance in Rivers State.
“Rivers State in the last 12 years has become a failed project. The FCT Minister should tell us what has happened in the past 12 years, eight years of his own misrule and the three years that he ruled by proxy.”
