Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has raised considerations over President Bola Tinubu’s reported planned trip to Saudi Arabia, questioning the timing of the journey and expressing unease concerning the President’s well being.
Sowore made the remarks in a submit on X on Wednesday, following reviews that Tinubu was anticipated to journey to Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
“Nigeria is in serious trouble! After the Kaduna rally, there are now indications that Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialabat is being prepared for another foreign trip tomorrow, October 29, 2026, amid growing questions about his health,” Sowore wrote.
The AAC chieftain mentioned that 5 governors, some ministers and distinguished businessmen have been being assembled to accompany the President, alleging that their presence may give the trip the looks of an official enterprise go to.
“Hearing that five governors, some ministers, and prominent businessmen are being assembled for the trip, apparently to give it the appearance of an official business visit,” he added.
Sowore, who has repeatedly criticised the President over his international travels, drew a comparability with the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, ending his submit with the query: “Like Yar’Adua, like Tinubu?”
