The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to promptly deal with the omission of a few of its candidates’ names from the fee’s lately revealed checklist.
The social gathering’s chief, Henry Seriake Dickson, made the decision in a put up on his X account, assuring affected candidates and supporters that the social gathering had taken steps to resolve the difficulty.
“Our candidates and supporters are assured that the party has been working diligently and has taken adequate steps to address the cases of those whose names were not published by INEC a few days ago,” Dickson mentioned.
He maintained that every one affected candidates registered with the social gathering throughout the statutory 21-day interval required by legislation, urging INEC to right what he described as an obvious omission.
“From the Presidential election to the State Houses of Assembly, the NDC has fielded qualified candidates who emerged through a rigorous and painstaking screening process,” he acknowledged.

Dickson expressed confidence that the electoral fee would resolve the matter at once.
Meanwhile, he urged social gathering members, candidates and supporters to maintain their political actions whereas efforts to deal with the difficulty proceed.
“In the meantime, consultations, town hall meetings, mobilisation, and campaigns should continue unabated in all states and constituencies,” he mentioned.
The former Bayelsa State governor reaffirmed the social gathering’s dedication to pursue the matter, declaring: “We will continue to fight without giving up until we are victorious.”
