Academic staff at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso in Oyo State have begun an indefinite strike.
The union famous that the motion begins at midnight of at the moment (Thursday), over the non-implementation of the 2025 settlement between the Federal Government and the union and non-payment of their excellent entitlements.
The union disclosed this in an announcement signed by the Chairman and the Secretary, Professor Olujimi Dada and Dr Soji Arinola, respectively.
They defined that the choice was reached after an emergency congress held on Wednesday.
The union then directed all its members to droop all academic actions within the establishment.
“The suspension covers lectures, examinations, statutory meetings, laboratory work, teaching and other interactions with students,” it mentioned.
