The Hashim Progressive Movement (HPM) has set a goal of no less than six million votes for Accord Party presidential candidate, Dr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, throughout Nigeria’s North-West area within the 2027 normal election.
Hon. Aminu Aminu, HPM coordinator and Accord’s senatorial candidate for Jigawa Central, introduced the goal in an announcement, saying the motion was mobilising supporters throughout the seven states of Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
“We will prove he is our own in this region and the face of the New North,” Aminu mentioned, describing the marketing campaign as an effort to display Hashim’s reference to the area and his attraction as a presidential candidate with a nationwide outlook.
“This is a homecoming. For decades, the North has searched for a leader who understands its people and their challenges while offering a national vision for all Nigerians. We believe Dr Gbenga Hashim represents that possibility,” he mentioned.
Aminu mentioned HPM’s mobilisation technique would contain ward-by-ward and door-to-door engagement, with youth and ladies mobilisers working alongside Accord’s legislative candidates to strengthen the social gathering’s presidential marketing campaign.
The motion plans to hyperlink its presidential mobilisation efforts with Accord’s senatorial and House of Representatives candidates to enhance coordination and broaden grassroots engagement throughout the area.
“We are connecting presidential hope to grassroots reality,” Aminu mentioned.
He added that the motion believed voters have been searching for sensible options to insecurity and financial hardship, points on which Hashim had continued to stipulate coverage proposals.
