The Special Adviser on E-GIS and Urban Development to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Dr Olajide Abiodun Babatunde, has suggested stakeholders within the building industry to at all times comply with legal guidelines and regulations.
Babatunde famous that that is needed so as to avoid incessant building collapses within the nation.
He spoke throughout a press briefing held in honour of a veteran city planner, late Chief James Oladosu Babatunde.
According to him, non-compliance with regulations is chargeable for incessant building collapses within the nation.
He stated, “In those days there were some practices that we observed but people are not doing that now.
“It isn’t proper to sleep at development websites. There is not any extra monitoring.
“People are no not monitoring building construction. The only way to avoid building collapses is to follow the regulations and extant laws.”
