Alonso watched as Enzo Le Fée’s aim ensured Sunderland defeated Chelsea at Stadium of Light.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the sport, Alonso admitted that Chelsea did not create sufficient aim scoring probabilities in opposition to the hosts.
According to him, the Blues lack pace on the ball in opposition to Sunderland and did not have sufficient endurance in the course of the encounter.
“It’s our mistake. We were missing a bit of speed on the ball, a bit of patience playing against a low block,” Alonso mentioned.
“We didn’t create enough chances; we didn’t have enough patience or creativity to create chances.”
Chelsea will now tackle Leeds United of their subsequent Premier League conflict after the worldwide break.
