The newest transfer follows a number of changes to the scheme. In May 2024, the CBN appointed 11 brokers: 9 pre-shipment inspection brokers and two monitoring and analysis brokers. Dakee Engineering and Construction and Arlington Securitas had been on that record. The allocation of terminals was reviewed in March 2025. In July 2026, the financial institution named Candid Oil Services Ltd as inspection agent for the Taurus Oil and Gas Depot.
The new round adjustments the businesses accountable for inspecting export cargoes and the terminals each covers.
The appointments come as gasoline export earnings develop. According to CBN knowledge, Nigeria earned $2.53 billion from gasoline exports within the first quarter of 2026.
