A professor of political economic system, Pat Utomi, has despatched a message to younger Nigerians working as political thugs for politicians.
In a publish on his verified X deal with on Saturday, Utomi mentioned corrupt politicians of feeding younger thugs with crumbs whereas they proceed to revenue from the chaos they create of their neighbourhoods.
He requested the thugs if their parents could be proud of them doing soiled jobs for the politicians.
“To every young man doing agbero (thuggery) work for corrupt politicians, I want you to sit down and ask yourself an important question, Is this what you will still be doing at 50? Are your parents proud of what you are doing?
“These corrupt politicians will feed you crumbs whereas persevering with to revenue from the chaos they’re creating in your neighbourhoods,” Utomi wrote.
The political economist warned youths not to allow themselves to be used as instruments of destruction ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Come 2027, please don’t permit your self to turn into an instrument of destruction in these males’s fingers. You deserve higher,” he warned.
