Twenty-one native authorities space chairmen and 226 councillors in Adamawa State have defected from the (*21*) Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The chairmen resignation is contained in a letter adressed to their varied warch Chairmen of the Party.
In their letters, the LGA Chairmen cited private causes and consultations with their political associates for his or her choices to go away the PDP.
The Adamawa State APC Publicity Secretary, Victor Dogo, confirmed the event, stating that each one 21 council chairmen, space growth directors and 226 councillors had joined the APC.

Dogo attributed the mass defection to the officers’ resolution to align politically with Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, who lately left the PDP for the APC.
The growth comes months after the council officers have been elected on the PDP platform within the June 13, 2026, native authorities elections, regardless of Fintiri’s earlier departure from the social gathering.
Their defection marks a major political realignment in Adamawa State, with the APC gaining the help of elected officers throughout all 21 native authorities areas.
