President Bola Tinubu has accused his opponents in the 2027 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and different opposition candidates, of being liable for poverty and hunger in Nigeria.
Tinubu made the allegation on Saturday on the All Progressives Congress, APC, marketing campaign flag-off in Kaduna State forward of the 2027 common elections.
“I hear my opponents talking about hunger and poverty. Who created it? They did! To you, the children of our country, it’s a promise of a second term – prosperity; you will not regret it,” the President stated.
Tinubu’s remarks come amid public issues over the rising value of dwelling, meals costs and financial hardship following the removing of petrol subsidy and different financial reforms launched by his administration.
However, opposition leaders have criticised the administration over inflation, insecurity and the worsening dwelling circumstances of many Nigerians as political events put together for the 2027 common elections.
